Rebuilding large mammal pads
i am using kitty hair so i dont have
to worry about it running in a near
vertical situation
stir
mix black paint into mix
this method is only needed for larger mammals - for
smaller mammals upads can be rebuilt directly with epoxy
sculpt - for larger mammals like this bear it takes a lot of
sculptall - it is much cheaper to be a base and then just
'veneer' the bondo - i have sank a bunch of small drywall
screws to give the bondo something to grab
add hardener and place in cake decorating
bag - you can get these bags in the taxidermy
section of wal-mart
apply
here it is dried
mix up apoxie sculpt and add a
little baby powder to it to kill
sheen- if you add too much it will
kill the strength of product - it
takes very little
apply on top of bondo per
references (see below)
this is a precision texturing sock

texture by pressing texturing tool into
apoxie - first wet the sock - let set up and
you are done- model to look like you want it
